Consider in your recovery when you authentically could pull kindness out of your heart and say, do, and be a worthy gifter of kindness. It likely benefitted you and the other person. I’m not suggesting you set yourself up to be used, exploited or manipulated by others’ wants and needs. I’m also not wanting you to give in an unhealthy way (self-sacrificingly harming). Instead, consider the POWER of kindness at moments and with people who needed such or benefitted from such, and consider how powerful you too could step into being by being able to be kind too.
