As a healthcare professional, you might have trouble admitting that you’re having a trauma reaction or are in need of help. In this course we will reflect on your experiences with exposure to trauma work, secondary traumatic stress, compassion fatigue, and professional burn-out.
How do you manage the demands and awkwardness of existing relationships, new relationships, and unfamiliar relationships when you can barely manage a relationship with yourself that is healthy, functional, and stable while you are recovering. This is the focus of these 6 classes in Course 2: Navigating Relationships During Your Recovery.
With trauma, your body can lose all regulation, rhythms, and consistent patterns that help each part of your body function reliably and smoothly. Course 3 focuses upon how you can help your body recover so that you can rely on your body as you emotionally and psychologically recover, also.
Learn how to use yoga for recovery to help with the body, mind, and soul. Here to guide you through this course is Adriene Mishler, an international yoga teacher, well-known for her YouTube channel Yoga With Adriene. Her approach to regular self care embodies a playfulness, wisdom and humor that encourages all personalities to the mat.
The daily life away from work is like another business - it has chores and responsibilities. Therefore, with your schedule and the pressure of all the exhaustion - emotional, mental and physical - that you bring home makes the tasks of everyday chores complicated. In this course, you'll learn how to prioritize those tasks and make it so your daily routine can be done easily.
Inner peace experiences can be discovered, owned and created. Being active, proactive, and determined to recover and to learn to experience inner peacefulness means practicing and learning new ways of feeling, thinking, imagining, and dialoging with ourselves.
In Course 7: Self-Therapy Moments, you will learn self-therapy timing and topics, self-expressive therapies, self-soothing and self-harm actions, how to create positivity, how to manage triggers, and therapeutic relationships.
*FINAL COURSE* Creating respect is not easy to do when you're dealing with all the conflicts and different personalities of all the facilities, communities, and hospitals. Being able to create resolutions, communicate, listen and express yourself well can take a lot of energy. But it's important to always try to create respect, even in situations where the other person isn't creating respect.
