When you don’t disclose your experiences of abuse or trauma in your every day environment at work or with friends, you can feel like you are faking it or you are an imposter. “If only they knew…” However, it’s not faking it to not disclose to everyone…not everyone needs to know or deserves to know or even can handle knowing personal stuff. And…remember, you are more than those horrible experiences, so much more. And all those other aspects of you deserve to be grown, expressed, enjoyed, and honored. So you aren’t an imposter because you have private memories, secreted away for only those truly trustworthy to know. YOU are the WHOLE of you.
