How Resilient Are You? | Psychology Today

I’m Not a big believer in looking at abuse as an opportunity to learn lessons or situations to look back on and appreciate. However it is true that there are many lessons that will be able to be learned especially once you escape abuse and begin your recovery. First lesson you’ll look back on is probably why did I take so long to start respecting myself. Secondly, you’ll wish you would have escaped earlier. During your recovery process you will look back on who you were and be marveled at just how resilient you actually were to be able to survive, escape, and now do the hard work of recovery. Perhaps this article will give you different points of view to either argue with, or to be consoled by, or to learn from. Wishing you all the best, Dr. Carol Francis 310-543-1824 drcarolfrancis@gmail.com.
